The Archangel OPFOR AK-series forend is designed for all short forend AK's. Comprising four pieces: a lower hand-guard, two upper hand-guards (one with integral 12-o'clock Picatinny rail), and an internal heat-shield; the hand-guards are molded from a proprietary, carbon-fiber filled polymer. The lower hand-guard has a comfortable swell, and is grooved for grip-control; the upper hand-guards are aggressively grooved allowing a firm grip by the off-hand.
